Keeping this in mind, the new complex has been designed to grow with the community, lay the groundwork for future buildings, and address our needs for a community gathering space for generations to come. It incorporates the Islamic idea of building a masjid, madressah and community buildings within one complex, expressing the different elements of our lifestyles in a unified whole. It showcases the elements of Fatemi architecture that mark the masjids built by Aqa Moula (tus) and at the same time is unique to Houston with its inspiration from Houston buildings like those of Rice University. It is Texan and Bohra, a reflection of our identities in stone, our cultural and architectural contribution to the city that we call home.
